1965 Guild F20 Troubadour Guitar
Nice guitar in excellent structural condition, showing players wear but great shape for a 55 year old guitar! Original finish and hardware. Small body guitars are in vogue right now & this gorgeous F-20 Troubadour is a wonderful example of the fine acoustic craftsmanship coming out of the Guild Hoboken factory in the early days of the company. The guitar has a light airiness to it that makes it so much fun to play & its small size makes it the perfect travel companion. The F20 was the smallest guitar in the Guild offerings in 1965. This has a solid spruce top with mahogany back and sides and a rosewood fretboard and bridge. This is an extremely well-built little guitar, much lighter in construction than the 1970s Westerly Guilds and easily a match in sound for similar Martin offerings from the same era. This is a fine recording or gigging guitar, a nice example of one of the best small body flat-tops of the 1960s. Open-back strip tuners are in perfect working condition. Overall length is 39 inches, the lower bout is 13 3/4 inches wide, and the body depth is 4 1/16 inch at the side, taken at the end block. Scale length is 24 1/2 in. Width of nut is 1 5/8 in.
