The Ibanez Power Series

The Ibanez Power Series is quickly becoming the hottest line of vintage pedals, and honestly it’s a bit of a surprise that it took this longs. Of course we all know the TS10 Tube Screamer but there are so many other gems, practically all of them, but there are some real standouts like the Session Man, Octave, and Mostortion.

This series was made by Maxon for only 3 years from 1986 to 1989. It is known as both the Ibanez 10 series or Ibanez Power Series. With only the TS10 finding some fame on boards like Stevie Ray Vaughn’s and more recently John Mayer. There is some evidence that John Frusciante may have used the WH10 Wah, but mostly this has remained a forgotten line for 35 years.

As this line gains popularity it will be interesting to see if any of the lesser know models end up on some not lesser known players boards 🤔 🤷‍♂️
